Immerse yourself in a rich kitesurfing journey shaped by wind, nature, and the vibrant spirit of Brazil. This adventure begins the moment you land, with all kiters welcomed and picked up from Fortaleza Airport before setting off on an unforgettable downwind safari through some of the most iconic kite spots in the country. The route flows from Cumbuco to Ilha do Guajiru, then onward to Jericoacoara and finally Tatajuba, with each destination offering its own unique blend of wide beaches, warm waters, laid-back villages, and endless wind. You’ll share this incredible experience with a group of 20 passionate kiters from all around the world, made up of 16 riders and 4 experienced instructors. This creates the perfect mix of international energy, new friendships, expert coaching, and a vibrant social atmosphere both on and off the water. Whether you arrive solo or with friends, the group quickly becomes part of the adventure, united by a shared love for wind, travel, and the ocean. Every day brings steady breezes from twenty to thirty knots, creating ideal conditions for riders of all levels. Newer riders enjoy calm, shallow locations with patient guidance on the water and along the beach, helping them build confidence safely and progress each day. More advanced riders can enjoy long downwinders, playful waves, freestyle opportunities, and open space to push their skills further. Beyond the riding, the trip blends lively Brazilian culture, fresh local flavors, music-filled evenings, and peaceful sunsets over the dunes. It’s a complete escape that brings together wind, water, adventure, culture, and connection while guiding you across one of the most beautiful kite regions in the world. Hidden lagoons, dune crossings, beachside dinners, unforgettable sunset sessions, star-filled nights, and authentic local encounters add even more magic, making every day feel like a new chapter of adventure and discovery.

Adventure Sports Tours has teamed up with a group of professional kiters from South America and the USA, bringing together years of experience traveling and riding in world-class spots across the globe. Together, we have created this trip to help you progress to the next level while enjoying unique conditions, personalised technical support, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Alicia Medina
Alicia is a joyful, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable coach whose infectious energy makes every session memorable. She discovered kiteboarding in 2014 while living on the coast of Colombia and was instantly hooked by the freedom and power of the wind.
After moving to North Carolina in 2018, Alicia combined her natural teaching ability with her passion for the sport. Since 2019, she has been coaching riders of all levels, helping them build confidence and connection on the water. In 2024, she founded Wind and Water Adventures LLC to grow the local wind and water sports community.
Alicia has ridden renowned kite destinations across Colombia, Brazil, and North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, bringing international experience, encouragement, and a fun, supportive atmosphere to every adventure.
Andres Pereira
Andrés Pereira is the friendly face behind Kite Puerto Velero and a passionate kiter with deep local knowledge and years of experience on the water. Known for his welcoming energy and helpful attitude, Andrés is always ready to make riders feel at home and ensure they have the best possible experience.
An active competitor, Andrés regularly takes part in kitesurfing and wing surfing competitions across South America, bringing high-level riding experience, strong technical knowledge, and a competitive mindset to every session. His involvement in the sport keeps him connected to the latest techniques, gear, and performance trends.
Leonardo Amortegui
He started his first kitesurfing course in December 2005 and has been hooked on the sport ever since.
Leonardo has kited in many of the world's most renowned spots and in 2023 set his personal record for downwind distance covered with 1,100 km in 10 days.
He is currently two seasons into wingfoiling.
He enjoys sharing his knowledge and love for the sea and nature, and motivating people to travel the world while enjoying the sport.
Alexandra Navarro
Alexandra was introduced to kitesurfing in 2019 and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Since then, she has traveled extensively to ride in world-class destinations, gaining experience fast and building strong connections within the global kiting community. Known for a friendly and social spirit, she enjoys sharing sessions, meeting new people, and making friends wherever the wind takes them.
Alexandra has kite-surfed in renowned spots including Paros, Tarifa, Mexico, Cabarete, Buen Hombre, Los Roques, Adícora, La Ventana, Brazil, and their home spots of Salinas and Cartagena.
These experiences have built confidence, versatility, and strong technical skills across many wind conditions, water states, and riding styles.
